Hi Kinder Families!

Welcome to our Kinderworld!  

This is going to be a great year full of lots of learning and growing.

This year the children will be learning to be independent learners.  They will take charge of their own learning and have lots of choice.  We will become experts at Reading, Writing and Math.

We will also be hard at work practicing becoming Super Readers.  The children will be reading for 30 minutes at school everyday. They will also be required to read or be read to for 15 minutes everyday at home.  Please be sure to sign their reading logs every night after they read.  DO NOT log in each book.  Only log in one line for 15 minutes of reading.  
Each line on the log sheet equals 15 minutes.

Also, please practice the Power Words with your child every night.  These words will be found in their Homework folders.  This is super important since these words need to be recognized ON SIGHT at flash speed.  We want our children to be super readers!!!!  Review previous words every night so that they don't forget them.
