Beginning Band - Cupcakes, cookies, cakes ... baked goods of some sort.
Cadet Band - 2 bottles of Sprite or another type of soda without caffeine. Please understand that we will need lots of drinks to keep us hydrated, especially during the hot afternoon.
Chorus - Anything with a sweet and salty mix. (chips, dips, pretzels, slasa, etc ...)
Please bring your clean tunes and anything that you would like to play with outside that is considered safe.

"Cinderella" Update *****NEW*****
Important Additional Props Needed
It is hard to believe, but we are rapidly approaching the first school teaser performance on Wed. March 26th, 2014. There is still a great deal to accomplish and do. We will need everyone to assist and if necessary to roll up their sleeves to make the magic happen onstage.
We are DESPERATELY in NEED of the following prop type items STILL!!!:
The Village Square
1. A small platform from which the Herald can make his announcements. It can be addorned with poles flying royal banners.
Step Family Home-
1. A small mobile couch for the step families, family room
2. Two light end tables
3. A round or oblong dining room table with 4 chairs
4. Fringed gawdy table cloth for the dining room table
5. A pitcher and a set of 4 cheap tea cups with saucers
6. 2-3 vases with silk flowers, candelabras, a tall pedestal hat rack.
7. 3-4 ornamental hat boxes.
8. A light movable easy chair with ottoman
9. A large, round, circular rug for the front room.
10. Pots and pans to hang near the fire place and around the kitchen.
Royal Palace

2. Fake believable food for the plastic serving trays
cheeses, meats, a variety of cakes and deserts, vegetables, etc ...

2. A single solitary ornamental bench for two. Preferably white.

The Coach
A real horse drawn wagon that we can convert into a complete coach. This is ULTIMATELY IMPORTANT! Please call me immediately, if you can help us out in locating the genuine article!!!!
Fog Machines
We need to borrow about 4-5 good working fog machines. Do you have one that you use for Halloween that we could borrow for the musical?
Disco Ball
To hang from the top of the stage to dangle and present magic glittery effects during Cinderella's transformation sequence.
In addition, I am looking for people with graphic arts and back drop painting experience. We will need to do an INCREDIBLE amount of painting on props and scenery as we rapidly approach the show dates. Please let me know if you are interested in assisting us.

Cinderella Auditions Ready to Start
Auditions for the Rogers and Hammertein's version of, "Cinderella" will begin on Tues. 1/14/2014. Come on and try out for a part. General auditions will run until Thurs. 1/16/2014. Donated Christmas Decorations Needed
I Really Could Use Some Help ...
I need some decorations to brighten our stage for the upcoming holiday concert on December 19th, 2013.
I am not in the position to purchase these items, and it would be a tremendous help if some of the band and chorus parents could get together and donate some decorations for the concert.
Here is what I am looking for:
2 to 3 large prelit Christmas Trees - These would be returned at the end of the concert
2 large hanging wreaths for either wall on both sides of the stage.- Returned at the conclusion of the concerts.
6 to 8 pots of pointsettias to gather around the trees. - Returned at the conclusion of the concerts.
A few sets of Large glittery snowflakes to suspend from the stage ceiling by fishing nylon.

The Deadline for 3rd Grade Recorder Orders is Rapidly Approaching!
DEADLINE FOR FINAL ORDERS IS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7TH, 2013 !
This is the very LAST DAY that I will accept recorder orders. Please make sure that your 3rd grade student has their own recorder and book to practice from.
Your child will receive the following:

Depart Time: 9:30AM via school bus *(3.50 is needed to cover the cost of transportation for the bus)

This week during all rehearsals, students will be measured and fitted for their Clarkdale Elementary Band and Choir Polos. The shirts will then be ordered. Please make sure that you have paid your band and choir fees to reserve your student's shirt.

All band members are REQUIRED to come to all morning sectionals!
Please understand that the contract signed by both the band student and parent commits the student to coming to these important lessons. Students who fail to attend these important lessons have difficulty moving ahead and generally become frustrated by the lack of progress they are not making.
Please make every effort to attend lessons. These are mandatory and required and were outlined in the band recruitment packet.

Dismissal Procedures for Afternoon rehearsal for Band and Chorus:
Following the completion of afternoon band and choir rehearsal, all band and choir students will be escorted to the gym for dismissal and pickup. The back pickup area can be accessed by driving through the gates on the far right at the front of the school. The gates are located next to the playground. Follow the circular road around the back of the school to the pickup and waiting area. The students will be waiting with me at the first door on your left.
I apologize for any confusion this may of caused for some of you. Please let me know if you require any further clarification in regard to this procedure.

11/18/2011 - The Recorders have Arrived! I have just received the recorders from UPS. I will be distributing them the week after we get back from break. Thank you for everyone's patience. I'm pleased and happy with the enthusiasm most have expressed with this wonderful hands on part of our music curriculum.
