Upcoming Events and Reminders
* 2nd Quarter Report cards were sent home on Tuesday, February 2nd. Thank you for those that have returned the bottom portion already. If you haven't done so yet please send the bottom portion of your child's report card back to school after reviewing it.
*Our 3rd grade field day will be on Friday, February 12th. We will be sharing our field day with 4th grade. Parents are welcome to attend so mark your calendars. More specific details will follow.
* Please be sure your child is studying their math multiplication facts each evening so they will be able to pass the multiplication quiz given every Friday. Students need to score a 100% in order to move onto the next number. Just 5 minutes a night will help them tremendously!!
*Your child can access the FCAT Explorer website (www.fcatexplorer.com) to practice reading and vocabulary skills. Our class will begin to go to the computer lab in the coming weeks to visit this website as well. When reading passages remind them to look back in the story to find the answer.
* 3rd quarter AR goals went home a couple of weeks ago. In order to attend Fun Friday activites students are expected to read and test on 3-4 books per week and must maintain an average of 85% or higher. Students should be reading an AR book 3-4 times before taking a test on it.
*Looking ahead.... *There will be no school on February 15th and 16th.
* FCAT testing is only 5 weeks away!!
