Welcome to a new school year!  I hope you had a restful summer and are ready for an exciting and busy new 5th grade year.
Below is our daily classroom schedule.

7:30-8:00      Breakfast/prepare for the day/ AR

8:05-8:55      Science

9:00-9:30      PE (days 1,3,4,5,6) Art/Music (day2)

9:35-11:10    Reading

11:10-12:10  Math

12:10-12:50  Social Studies

12:55-1:20    Lunch

1:25-2:00      Language/AR

2:00-2:10      Prepare for dismissal

 

I am posting the following classroom behavior expectations for your information.  These will be reviewed with the class on Monday, August 24th.

Classroom Rules
 
Each student will:
  1. Work quietly.  
  2. Listen and follow directions.
  3. Use good manners.  Show respect for adults and peers.
  4. Raise hand and wait to be called on.
  5. Keep hands, feet and objects to self.
  6. Try to do your best at all times.
 
Rewards for good behavior are:
  1. Verbal praise.
  2. Positive communication sent home.
  3. Special privileges.
  4. Special activities.
  5. School/community recognition and awards.
 
Consequences for misbehavior are:
  1. Verbal warning.
  2. Name on board.
  3. In-class timeout.
  4. Timeout in another classroom OR loss of privilege OR phone call to parent that day.
  5. Conference with parents AND/OR office referral.
