Welcome to our second grade classroom website!

I can't believe that we are already halfway
through the school year!  

Today we set our AR goals for the third quarter. 
Students will be able to read and take tests until March 31, 2010.  
Your child brought home a note indicating the number of points he or
she needs to earn this quarter.  Remember, the test average
needs to remain at 85% or higher to be counted towards the goal. 

This is a very busy quarter at Hancock Creek.  We will be celebrating
many holidays, including Groundhog's Day, Valentine's Day
and President's Day.   We also will be having Field Days for
kindergarten, third and fourth grades.    FCAT Writes for
our fourth graders is Tuesday, February 9 and
FCAT for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade is March 9 through March 19.  
Chick-fil-A night is Thursday, March 11 from 5:00 until 8:00.

Please remember if you have an incoming kindergarten student,
a 5th grader or an 8th grade, you need to complete the
School Choice paperwork.  See our HCE website for more information.
