Help Your Child Be Prepared

Please keep pencils, erasers, crayons and sharpeners on hand at home to help your child complete homework and replenish his or her supplies at school.

READ, READ, READ

"There is more treasure in books than all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island."

-Walt Disney

Reading with your son or daughter is a great way to spend time together.  You can both take turns reading and spend time talking about the stories that you read.  Our class will be starting RAH (Reading at Home) in September.  Each student will be responsible for reading for fifteen minutes every night.  A RAH record sheet will be sent home every week for your child to write down the stories he or she reads each night.  The record sheet will be collected every Friday.  The record sheet must be signed by a parent or guardian.  The students are permitted to read books, magazines, websites, comics, etc.

RAH is a great way to make time to read together.

Check out this web page to find out all of the benefits that come from reading with your child!
