I once read, "It is the teacher's role to assist, cajole, and expect every child to learn the curriculum." I strongly believe in this quote. I believe that every child can succeed in school with a combination of determination, varied instruction, and high expectation.
This year, my students will be engaged in learning a full spectrum of concepts. My middle schoolers will be engaged in reading and writing with the Prentice Hall Literature program. Writing will include narratives, expository, compare and contrast, and argumentative essays. In addition, we will read and explore the magic of novels. Together, we will delve into fiction, nonfiction, short stories, poetry, drama and more.
