Physical Education Grading Policy

Physical Education Grades are based on a point system.  Students begin each quarter with 100 points or 100%.  Grades are lowered if a student loses points.  Each infraction is typically worth 2 points.  These include but are not limited to the following:

Lateness

Unprepared (proper dress code)

Misbehavior

Lack of Participation

Absent (Students may lose points after the first two absences)

*Medicals have no negative effect on grades*

Example: If a student is unprepared twice, late once, and loses two participation points, he/she will receive a 92%.

Cutting class, behaviors problems, and/or not participating may result in a loss of 2-6 points.
