We have been reading and talking about ways to help others less fortunate than we are. The students have offered some great suggestions. Here is one of my suggestions:

One of my very favorite websites is http://www.freerice.com/. This website is great for both kids and adults! On this website you can improve your vocabulary, grammar, math and geography skills. For every correct answer, a donation of 20 grains of rice is made to needy areas around the world. This website is so addictive. Also, what is better than giving your brain a workout AND helping people in need. How cool!

September, 2011
We have had an exciting and productive first two weeks of school. I think most of the students have settled into our procedures and routines.

I would like to thank all of those families who attended Open House on Thursday, September 1. It was great to see everyone. It is obvious by your attendance that you are interested in your child's education!

August, 2011

Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year! I am excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and am looking forward to a happy and productive school year.

Curriculum areas we will focus on this year include reading, writing, spelling, math, science, and social studies. There will be a strong emphasis placed on reading, writing, math, and science as these are the areas tested on the FCAT.

During the 2011-12 school year I will be teaching:

- Reading, Spelling, Writing
- Social Studies
- Science (to students in my Homeroom and Mrs. Greene's homeroom)

This website will be beneficial to the students in those groups.
