Middle School Summer Math Review

 

 Research has shown that even the best student loses a percentage of the previously learned math skills over the summer break.  For this reason as well as others, we recommend practice over the summer using the Spectrum Math workbook series.  The Spectrum Math workbook reviews several key math skills that should be practiced.  The workbook may be ordered online at Amazon.com or may be found at teacher supply stores as well as Borders or Barnes & Nobles.  Each lesson has examples, practice problems, and an answer key.  You may leave the answer key in the book, or it can be removed, so that you can check your child’s worksheet.  The choice of workbook depends on the math class that your child completed this year.

Seventh Grade Pre-Algebra:
Study for the perfect quizzes over Chapter 12 objectives.  Swing 2 will be on Monday.  Swing 3 will be on Tuesday.  The review packet will be given out in class on Wednesday.  Please check the grade portal on Tuesday and on Wednesday.  The tutoring for the Chapter 13 Test will be on Thursday during lunch.  The retake will only be given at 6:30 a.m. due to the grade deadline.

Algebra:
Study for the Chapter 12 Test on Tuesday.  There will not be a retake.  Review packet will be given out in class on Wednesday.  Please check the grade portal on Wednesday.

 

Eighth Grade Pre-Algebra:
Study for the factoring retake on Friday morning.  The tutoring is on Thursday at lunch.  The review packet will be given out in class on Wednesday.  Please check the grade portal on Tuesday and on Wednesday.
