A Message from Mrs. Mayhan
Welcome!
Thank you for stopping by my website! Iam the Bible teacher at Grace serving grades K through 8. I would love to share some things I have done on my educational path to Grace. I have served as a teacher for 15 years. I have worked with students in many varied capacities as a classroom teacher and reading specialist. I have trained teachers for the state of Texas and also appeared in a video on differentiating instruction that has been shown nationwide in different schools. I have served on numerous committees as an action leader, chairperson, and as a mentor to new teachers. I have been married for eleven years to my wonderful husband, Patrick, and I have an amazing son named Landon who will also be attending Grace School this year in the twos class.
Over the past few years I pursued classes such as Bible Study Methods and Principles of Teaching at the College of Biblical Studies. I have also been very involved and served at my home church as a leader to women's events and married young adult retreats. I felt a deep calling to leave the public sector to move into a career where I could share my faith more freely. I feel the above qualifications have lended greatly to the transition I have made. Working at Grace is an honor, and I love coming to my job everyday.
Choosing to follow Jesus Christ has been the single most defining and important decision I have made. My passion for God's word had grown to such a place that and I feel privileged to work in a position that would allow me to teach it. My sincere desire is to equip the youth of today with an ever growing appreciation of God's Word so that they will learn how to apply their faith to their everyday lives. I have learned by my own experience its amazing transformative power. My prayer is that the students I teach will grow to become fully devoted followers of Christ and make an eternal impact on the world we live in.
I can't wait to study God's Word with your children!
Blessings,
Michele Mayhan
