Welcome to Basic Study Skills
This school year, 2021-2022, In BSS we will be using a program called SOAR® Learning & Soft Skills for College & Career Readiness. This program introduces a system of simple,student-friendly strategies to help students organize, study, and complete homework efficiently. Research shows that students make great gains from learning these “study skills.” A study from Ohio State University confirmed that students who learn study skills get much better grades up and are up to 600% more likely to graduate from college!
We will also be using our classroom time to give the student support in the regular classroom on skills needed to be successful in the regular classroom.
