Chapter 10

Chapter 11

This chapter discusses how to plan for a career that can be both personally and financially fulfilling.  Section 1 explains things to consider when choosing a career.  Section 2 is about employment search strategies.  When studying for the Chapter 11 test, please review your study guide, notes, workbook activities, and the following PowerPoint presentation:   Chapter 11

Chapter 12

 

Chapter 12 stresses how good money management will help you achieve your financial goals.  Sections include how to keep financial records well organized, and how to prepare personal financial statements such as balance sheets and cash flow statements.  The chapter concludes with understanding and preparing a personal budget.  To prepare for the chapter 12 test, review lecture notes, study guide and balance sheet quiz. 

 

Chapter 21

Chapter 14

 

This chapter on banking explains the services provided by financial institutions.  We will review savings, payment and borrowing services.   Students will practice managing their cash by writing checks and keeping a check register.  To prepare for this chapter's assessment, please review class notes and handouts. 

 

 

Chapter 17

 

 This chapter will teach students how to become informed investors.  They will learn about the importance of saving and planning wisely to achieve financial security.  We will look at long-term investment programs and assessing investment risk using the financial pyramid.  To prepare for this chapter's assessment, please review class handouts and study guides.

Chapter 15

 

This chapter, on Consumer Credit, teaches students that building and maintaining a good credit rating can lead to financial security.  Students will learn the pros and cons of using credit, as well as the financial problems that can occur if credit is not used wisely.  To prepare for the assessment on chapter 15, please review study guides, classwork, and these PowerPoint notes.
