Before coming to Neville, I taught at Demopolis High School in Demopolis, AL. I have taught grades seven through twelve. In 2007 I achieved National Board Certification in the area of English Language Arts/Adolescence and Young Adulthood. I have also served as an Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI) trainer/consultant and have been trained as an AP teacher. Additionally, I have served as English Department Chairperson, coached junior and varsity tennis, sponsored the yearbook, served on numerous committees and received multiple grants from the Demopolis City Schools Foundation.
I earned a Master of Arts in teaching from The University of West Alabama (formerly Livingston University) and a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Alabama.
I am married to Clay Cain, a native of Monroe, and we have three children.
