        Dear 4th grade families,

First, let us say, we hope you are all doing well!  We miss you!  Our thoughts are with you and your families during these unprecedented times.
Second, we made it through week one!  Thank you for all your hard work!! Distance learning is an adjustment for all of us, and we appreciate your effort and patience as we navigate this new reality.
The assignments that were sent home in the red folder for the 2 weeks were meant to be review activities to keep students engaged and actively learning.  They were not meant to cause stress, anxiety, or frustration.  Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.
We have received some questions regarding submitting work for Week 1.   Our original plan was to collect the work when we returned to school.  Given the extension of the closure, we would like you to submit the following work from Week 1:
  • Pg. 205 of the Reading Packet
  • Health Journal Pg. 1 (the back side of the front cover)
  • The back page of the Social Studies Newspaper from Week
You may submit this work by taking pictures of the work and emailing the pictures to us, or you can scan and email the work if you prefer.  Please submit these 3 items from Week 1 by Tuesday, March 24th at 6pm.  Please keep all remaining work in the folder to be collected at a later date.   If you have any trouble please reach out to us.
Looking forward, we know there will be challenges as we transition to new teaching methods.  We anticipate there will be technology issues, but together we will get through it!  We appreciate your patience and understanding that this is new for us too!
Kind regards,
Mrs. Hawk & Mrs. Mikitiuk

Additional resources were sent home (Novel: The Taste of Blackberries, Orange Vocabulary Book, and Social Studies Workbook) just in case the closure is extended. There are no assignments listed for those materials at this time.  We will update our website daily.  Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.  Be well!
