Week #30     Week of 04-02-12

This will be a busy week with the Senior Project presentations and getting ready to wrap up the third quarter.

 If you would like to look at the new Photoshop CS6 software, it has been installed on several computers in our lab. Many new features are available and the full-blown Master Collection should be announced this month.

 
For those of you that have not yet passed the Adobe Photoshop certification exam time is running out. You need to be certified this quarter to give your full attention to Dreamweaver next quarter. Go to the study guide site and review the training materials.

Your new project for this last week is to open the Curriculum site on the School District web site and to critique the site and improve it:

I am working with the district curriculum folks to help them redesign their site to make it more attractive and user friendly. This is where I would like your help.

 
Working with up to three people I need for you to log the title of every page and sub-page on the curriculum site. There are many links here so you’ll need to follow all of them on each page.

You will record in word the title of the page, describe each page, and state if it is a good page or not. Explain why you think it is good or bad. Please make sure that your name and your partner's name is the first line on your document. You can't get credit if I don't know who you are.

Drop your Word file into the Curriculum web site makeover and the first part is done. Your second part of the assignment is to create a site map and a rough draft of your makeover to make this site better. Just follow the instructions given under section two of the Dreamweaver tutorial and you should be fine in setting up your site map and rough draft of the curriculum site makeover.
