Welcome to Dr. Joyanne D. Miller School

 

 

 

     I am so excited to be your ELA and Social Studies teacher for the 2023-2024 school year! I am so looking forward to getting back into the classroom and meeting all of you. I hope you are ready to learn and have some fun! 

    Parents and I will communicate using Class Dojo.  I am always here for you, whether you need extra help, fun websites to explore, book recommendations, or activities to help your mind.  If you find something great like a website or activity, let me know and I will post it to my webpage to share with your classmates.

     4th grade brings an increased sense of independence, responsibility, leadership, and expectations. Since more will be expected of students individually, they will be held accountable for their work habits, work completion, ability to meet deadlines, making up missed work when absent, and observance of school rules.

     Parents, as we all work together to instill in each child a sense of confidence, self-esteem, good citizenship, and responsibility, it is our hope that each child will strive to his/her highest potential.
