Pinnacle reminders:
Parents and students, I want to remind you how I use Pinnacle to help communicate your progress in math class.  I will be entering assignments as they are due.  Each assignment will list the title, due date and points possible.  I will enter a grade of 'Z' to indicate assignments that are not turned in on the day due.  Remember you have 3 days to get this assignment in to replace the 'Z' with a grade (except for during the last week of the grading period).   If the assignment is turned in on time, Pinnacle will show a blank space until I have graded the assignment and enter the actual grade.  A blank does not affect your class average; however, a 'Z' does.  A 'Z' is calculated as a zero when averaging your class grade.  Also, please be careful when looking at the letter grades instead of the numberical scores.  Pinnacle takes all grades entered and converts them to a percentage in order to link them with a letter, but this does not coincide with the standards based grading rubric I am using for certain assignments.  So, please be sure to reference this rubric, which is part of my syllabus, when looking at DMP Quiz grades.
