Welcome back to school

 Dear Family,

   WELCOME to the art room! My name is Mrs. Jennifer Barcza. It is an honor to be your child’s art teacher this year. I look forward to an exciting year of exploring and making art with your child. We are going to have many wonderful art experiences this year!

   This school year the children in my class will discover how to think critically about what they see and make. We will focus on the process of making art rather than the product. Students will be encouraged to express their own ideas. Each art activity will be developed to correlate with a thematic unit, a story, or a culture.

   Since creativity can sometimes require messy materials, I suggest saving nice clothing for non- art days. Students will be creating their masterpieces once a week.
