Below is a list of Materials that each student needs on a daily basis in my class:
1. A separate Math 2" Binder.
Collected and graded regularly, so no other subjects can be in it. The binder should have 5 dividers labeled 1) Vocab, 2) Classwork, 3) Homework, 4) Tests/Quizzes, 5) Projects. Students should also have hole punched lined paper on which to take notes for class, as well as graph paper.
2. Hole-punched graph paper to keep in their binder.
Graphing is done extensively throughout the year.
3. Pens, pencils, erasers
Notes in pen: The less smudging throughout the year, the better the notes will be to study from.
Tests in pencil: This still means that all work must be shown.
No white out: White-out seen in my class will be confiscated and not returned.
No colored pens or pencils: Unless we use markers or crayons for a specific assignment, I will only accept work written using pencil or black or blue pen.
4. Scientific Calculator
TI-30 or Casio are fine, marked with name in nail polish on body and lid.
Extra: A Pencil case
If possible, this should have holes so that it can be kept in the math binder.
