Welcome to Third Grade!
Important Things to Know About Our Class:
*Remind App-Please sign up to receive notifications through the Third Grade 2021 Remind group using the code provided by your child's teachers (Mrs. Wales or Ms. Gant). We will send announcements and reminders through the messaging app and you can also contact us through Remind or email.
*Homework- Your child will receive a weekly homework calendar sheet in their gold folder each week. All assignments for core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies) will be listed there. Please review the homework assignments and be sure to have your child keep up with them. All homework materials should be found in the gold folder or will be sent home in their binder (normally kept in class). If a digital assignment has been given in Google Classroom, a note of that will be on the weekly homework sheet. *Look for GC- an abbreviation for Google Classroom.
*Office Hours- I have a daily planning period from 7:45 AM-8:15 AM. I will try to respond to Remind messages and emails during these times or from 3:30 PM-4:00 PM after school.
*Submitting Digital Assignments/Google Classroom Activities- If you have trouble completing or attaching assignments in Google Classroom, please use Remind instead. I am keeping track of virtual learning through Remind rather than email in order to avoid "losing" assignments in the many daily email messages. If you haven't signed up for Remind, PLEASE take a moment and do so!
