Welcome to Ms. Ledet’s 4th Grade Class!

 

I am the 4th grade Math teacher and am excited to begin a new year with your child.

We are gearing up for a SUPER year here at East Elementary. My hope is that we have a successful year. To accomplish this goal teachers, parents, and students must work together as a super team!

Chapter 7 : Add and Subtract Fractions

  • Lesson 1- Add and Subtract Parts of a Whole

    Lesson 2- Write Fractions as Sums

    Lesson 3-  Add Fractions Using Models

    Lesson 4-  Subtract Fractions Using Models

    Lesson 5- Add and Subtract Fractions.
    Lesson 6-  Rename Fractions and Mixed Numbers

    Lesson 7- Add and Subtract Mixed Numbers
    Lesson 8-  Subtract with Renaming

 

 

  • Students will practice Fact Fluency for proficiency, continue to gain experience in breaking apart word problems to solve, and correctly respond to constructed response questions.

 

 

 

 

 

Resource Sheets are given after each lesson is taught.   I encourage all of my students to complete the resource sheet for extra practice.  This sheet also gives a step by step of skills taught in the lesson.

  • Students should be seated, ready to begin the day in their classrooms by 8:05 am.

  • All students should be dressed appropriately- according to the East Elementary handbook.

  • Please check your child’s folders and agenda each night.

  • Basic Fact Fluency should also be practiced each night.

  • $25 Supply Fee due.

  • Sign papers go home EVERY Wednesday unless otherwise stated by your child's teacher.

  • ***Every 4th grade student will receive their username and password to their thinkcentral accounts

  •    This will be located inside the student's agenda. 
  • Thinkcentral.com is a wonderful website to review skills taught for the week. Students also have access to the Interactive Edition of their Go Math book, Personal Math Trainers, and helpful videos for each lesson.
  • I encourage parents to sit with their child and engage in the lesson reviews.
