You want the best for your child - a satisfying career that pays well, and provides growth options for the future. For a few students with the right combination of academic skills and a strong mechanical aptitude, "Automotive Service Technician" may be exactly the right choice.
We are a NATEF/ASE certified program.
NATEF was founded in 1983 as an
independent, nonprofit organization with a single mission: To evaluate technician training programs against standards developed by the automotive industry and recommend qualifying programs for certification (accreditation) by ASE, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
The NATEF process has resulted in certified automotive training programs in all fifty states at the secondary and postsecondary levels. NATEF also evaluates the providers of in-service technician training programs under a program called Continuing Automotive Service Education (CASE).
OUR CERTIFICATIONS: Suspension and Steering A4 --Brakes A5 --Electrical / Electronic System A6---- Engine Performance A8
Thank you to all the students and staff who work very hard in making the Millville Senior High Automotive Program NATEF certified

Automotive Technology Students Ace the NATEF/ASE/AYES Exam
On April 22-23, 2009, twenty-one seniors enrolled in the Millville Senior High School Automotive Technology II Program took the last two sections of the National Automotive Student Skills Standards Assessment (NA3SA) end-of-program exam. Overall, there are four sections of the exam. Students took the first two tests in November 2008.
This spring, the computer-based test was a slightly different format. AYES, NATEF, and SkillsUSA joined together to offer a single National Automotive Student Skills Standards Assessment (NA3SA) program. These tests, which are developed by ASE, are designed to evaluate students who are at the end of their program of study in Automobile Service and Technology. Students who pass any of the four areas become individually certified.
This semester, the automotive students were tested in the areas of Electrical/Electronic Systems and Engine Performance, as well as several make-up tests in Brakes and Suspension and Steering. Out of the 21 Automotive Technology II students who took the exams, the following percentage of students passed each tested area:
2008-2009 Results:
Brakes: 13 out of 21 = 62% pass rate, Electrical/Electronic Systems: 11 out of 21 = 52% pass rate, Engine Performance: 8 out of 21 = 38% pass rate, Suspension and Steering:11 out of 21 = 52% pass rate.
Fifteen students passed at least one of the four tested areas during the 2008-2009 school year, resulting in a 71% program pass rate. Five seniors, Charles Bennett, Mark Hayhurst, Christopher Merriman, Timothy Sparagna, and Aaron Thompson achieved mastery level by successfully passing all four areas of the NA3SA exam. In addition, five students, Angel Ortiz, Christopher Harris, Marcus Owens, Timothy Sittler, and William Watson passed three of the four tests.
