The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004) is the federal special education law. It gives specific requirements to ensure that students with disabilities receive the services they need to achieve their educational goals. Our goal at Bernards Township is to develop a partnership with parents, teachers, CST members, and the community to foster better outcomes for all our students. In order to facilitate that commitment we offer a wide variety of different programs to meet the diverse needs of the children in Bernards Township.
 

** Please note: All parental requests for a Child Study Team must be in writing. E-mails and faxed requests are not accepted. 

If you feel your child (ages 3-21) is in need of a Full Child Study Team Evaluation or Speech Evaluation(Kg-12th grade), please mail your letter to:

In your letter, state your child's name, date of birth, a daytime number you may be contacted at and your reasoning for requesting the Child Study Team Evaluation. The letter must have your original signature.
E-mailed and faxed letters are not accepted.
