This year we will be venturing into the world of Connected Math, featuring Prime Time. This unit allows students to discover the magic of numbers, their uses, parts and properties. Students will be given an instructional guide to refer to as the unit progresses, please keep it to help with assignments throughout our investigations. In order to perpare for the upcoming NJ ASK Testing in May we have weekly practice on every Tuesday and Thursday.
It is common for students to receive a test or quiz on Fridays to track progress on a weekly basis within the Connected Math Curriculum. Fridays are also devoted to preparing for the open-ended questions that frequently occur throughout the NJ ASK Test. Through these carefully generated (OEQ), we can practice on applying and conveying strategies learned in order to receive the most points per question. Please be aware that attendance is important during these practices in order for the students to gain the confidence, skills, and strategies needed to achieve the greatest amount of success on the NJ ASK TEST.

I have provided a series of math links that can be activated for Connected Math/N.J. ASK help and review, skill practice, exploration and fun! Since the N.J. ASK practice is a weekly routine on Tuesdays and Thursdays additional links will be provided and updated on a monthly basis to review skills and concepts taught in class. Please keep in mind that all math links on this web page will be updated periodically as we continue to grow mathematically within our curriculum.
