Dear Pre-K Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2022/2023 school year. I look forward to sharing the social, academic, emotional, and physical growth of your child with you this school year. We are busily working in our classroom and quickly adjusting to our daily schedule.
Students should arrive at school at 8:40 AM in the back schoolyard door #8. Students will be dismissed from door #8 by the Pre-k classrooms in the rear schoolyard at 2:40 PM. For the safety and security of your child, we ask you to stand in the schoolyard and not on the ramp during dismissal.
It is important that your child brings his/her backpack to school daily with his/her folder. All communication will be sent home from school via this folder. Please take the time to fill out all forms in a timely fashion. If you have a question, concern, or comment please write a letter and it will be answered as soon as possible. If you need to speak with me during the day, feel free to call the school office at 201-858-5969 and leave a message with Mrs. Christie, our school secretary. I will return your call as soon as possible. Remember that we are a team in the education and well-being of your child and communication is key.
A small, healthy snack is necessary daily. Soda, candy, or glass bottles are not permitted. When your child has a birthday, we would love to celebrate with them. You may send store bought cupcakes or cookies. We currently have 14 students in our class (4 girls and 10 boys).
A supply list is posted on the Mary J. Donohoe Community School webpage. Thank you for your compliance and for your donations. Tissues, paper towels, hand sanitizer, liquid soap, and Lysol/Clorox Wipes are used throughout the school year. These are optional supplies but greatly appreciated.
