Meet the Teacher

Welcome to our third grade website.  I am Menieca Mathis Kennedy.  I attended North Hamilton Elementary and graduated from Hamilton County High in 1984.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Valdosta State College in 1988.  I have been teaching for 22 years in Hamilton County. This is my eleventh year teaching third grade at NHE, but I have also taught kindergarten and been reading specialist.  I had the honor of being selected North Hamilton Elementary's Teacher of the Year for 2007.  I currently serve on the Sunshine Committee.  I am co-chairperson for the annual Miss NHE pageant, a member of the District School Improvement Team, a member of the Florida Reading Association, and also serve on the Reading Leadership Team for North Hamilton. 

I am married to Allen Kennedy and we have three daughters.  I am the proud grandmother of one grandson, Kyler.
