Welcome!
I am so excited to have your child in my class this year. We will have lots of fun learning together. I will do my best to make sure that your child has a successful experience in Second Grade. My classroom should be a comfortable, non-stressful place for your child. As partners in the education of your child, I ask that you please come to me immediately if your child ever has a problem or is frustrated about social or academic issues.
My conference time is 10:30-11:30 meet with me or call about any concerns that you or your child have. I will do everything in my power to resolve the situation.
Every year children work hard to complete their homework, but please reassure your child that if they mistakenly forgot something at school or at home, that it will be okay. I just ask that you send a note to make me aware.
I will be sending my newsletter home every Monday. It will have the homework for the week, spelling words, vocabulary words, and any notes or information that I need you to be aware of. Please check your child's folder each night.
I send graded papers home on Fridays. I will put them in your child's Take Home Folder. I will reward your child on Monday if their graded papers are taken out.
