Hello and Welcome
to my 4th Grade Class
2010-2011

I am very excited about teaching 4th grade this year!! I look forward to working with all of you!  As the school year begins, please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about our procedures and or policies.

One of the most important things we are going to do in Math this year is to make sure we know our Multiplication facts.  Even though our book reviews addition and subtraction first, we are going to start our math multiplication drill.

Your child will be tested orally at school using their multiplication booklet.  He or she will need to know one set of facts before moving on to the next set of facts.  As students complete one set of facts their "apple" will move down the "apple tree" (posted on wall in hallway).  When students complete the twelves, their apple will be placed in the basket and they will be given a 100.  This will count as a test grade.  Students will also receive a surprise (a REAL apple) for achieving this goal.

These facts need to be memorized on or before Monday, November 29, 2010.
