Hello and Welcome Back. It is already February! Don't forget Literacy Night this coming Thursday, Feb. 11th from 5:45 to 7:00 P.M.  Come out and have a great time with reading games and see everyone in their Pajamas-that's  right-students and teachers!Mardi Gras Holidays are Feb. 15th and 16th. Our fundraiser assembly will be Wednesday afternoon in the cafeteria.

     We are up and running to work and review all of the skills needed for the i-leap test this spring in Math, Science, and Social Studies. The writing assessment is in March,
 i-leap and Leap Testing in in April.

     Our student of the month for January was Kyleigh and Trayonna.  Congratulations to both of you for an Excellent Job!

     Please continue to bring in those empty Capri Sun containers and Boxtop Labels.  Our PTA is sponsoring a contest for 3rd and 4th grade classes.
    
   A Huge Thanks to the PHS' atheletes for visiting our school in Jan. and having
lunch with the students. They even went to Walk and Talk with them.

     Please remember to write down 6 stories or books that  you  have read to receive your 'Bookit Certiciate' from Pizza Hut-Remember you can earn one certificate each
month-and you will receive a free pizza. You can also earn extra Bee Tickets.
 
     A new semester means new "Bee Tickets"!  Let's start earning them right away.

     We are working in Science studying Rocks and Minerals, soil, fossils, and erosion.
Our test will be next week.

     We are working in Math with Geometry-lines, rays, points, angles, congruent & 
similar shapes, parallel, perpendicular, & intersecting lines, geometric shapes. 

     In Computer Lab we are using Skills Tutor,  AR , Fast Math & Phonics Review.  Our new computer station is up and running. We are super excited about this!  We are enjoying music with Mr. Jeff every other week.  We are also having a great time in PE with Mrs. Ernst-we love the cup stacking games and getting in those laps for the mileage club. We have Art with Mrs. Richardson and Library with Mrs. Fontenot-that keeps us pretty busy too.
