Online Behavior Norms - Google Classroom & Student Accountability

  • Students are provided with a diverse array of online learning tools implemented through Google Classroom. Google classroom is essentially an interactive "class binder" of  weekly lessons, note sets, activities, and assessments that are all organized by day & date. Students are expected to familiarize themselves and navigate Google Classroom according to the teacher's instructions and the routines established in class.

  • Following teacher instructions will include details of formatting, naming files, etc. Students must adhere to all instructions to prohibit penalties to their grades. This includes both in-person and online instructions for using Google Docs, Google Slides, Kami, Google Forms, etc. for assignments.

  • Students must adhere to the AI Use & Plagiarism Policy, which will be defined in detail in the class guidelines.

  • Other norms intended to ensure honest, equitable, and ethical academic treatment of each student include the following:

         * Students are familiar with the teacher's grading guidelines and policies.
         * Students treat behavior in Google Classroom with the same respect as any other classroom.
         * Students adhere to submission & formatting policies for assignments, and ask for assistance if they need to do.

         * Students treat classwork/homework assigned online with equal respect as that which is assigned in person.
