Music is a very important part of our children's education. A growing body of research shows connections between music education, particularly at a young age, and academic achievement in other areas of the curriculum. Music education helps prepare our children to be the creative problem solvers who will be needed in tomorrow's workplace. I am pleased to be a part of this important component of education in Monroe City Schools.
