Reading:
We will be using the County-Adopted reading series during our reading block. We are in the middle of Unit 4 in reading. Over the next week, we will also be reading a Boxcar Children novel. We are also continuing practice for the FCAT by discussing reading and test taking strategies.

Ms. Mousa's Reading: 4th Grade Student Edition
Writing:
We are reviewing both narrative and expository writing. We just finished writing a narrative about Valentine's Day. The kids are adding so much creativity to their writing. In March, we will be talking about poetry and creating our own poetry books! We are also continually practicing our cursive writing.
Social Studies and Science:
In Social Studies we have flown to Rome! We are continuing to learn about how the Romans lived and about Gladitors. Soon we will be writing our Roman Numerals. After that, we will fly to Greece! The Greece unit will kick off with information about the Winter Olympics!
In Science, we just finished learning about weather and will begin our study of rocks shortly.
