Sidney Lanier is a public school in Gainesville, Florida for students with moderate to profound disabilities between the ages of 3 and 22. The Sidney Lanier Music Program is global in scope and is linked with universities and music programs internationally through research, cooperative music making, and professional music education organizations.

THOMAS CENTER BENEFIT CONCERT
"MUSICIANS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN"
Friday, October 23rd at 7p.m. at the Thomas Center (Spanish Court)
A benefit concert to raise funds to send the Sidney Lanier Music Ensemble to their performance at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall this May. Admission is free and donations are accepted. Thank you to these wonderful musicians who will highlight our benefit concert:

One student is picked in 9 categories nationally to win the "Yes I Can! Award" for overcoming challenges associated with their disability. Lyndon White won the Arts category and will represent our school at the International CEC Conference in Seattle, Washington. CEC is the national professional organization for special education teachers. Lyndon is the lead drum set player in the Sidney Lanier School Drumline. He is the middle student in the center row above.
