Using the ALT + (the following codes on the number pad) you will be able to get the following accents:

ALT + 168 = ¿                    ALT + 129 = ü

ALT + 173 = ¡                     ALT + 0128 = €

ALT + 160 = á                    ALT + 144 = É

ALT + 130 = é

ALT + 161 = í

ALT + 162 = ó

ALT + 163 = ú

ALT + 164 = ñ

ALT + 165 = Ñ

 The codes on a Mac:

Hold down the option key, type the letter –e and then whatever letter you want the accent to be placed over.

For ñ = Option + n + the letter n

For ¡ = Option + 1

For ¿ = Option + shift + ?
