Welcome to the Sixth Grade! I hope that you are looking forward to a fantastic new school year, filled with projects that will present you with exciting new challenges and experiences!   I am can't wait to meet you and to learn along with you.  I will be yourLanguage Arts Literacy and your Social Studies teacher!

Our whole school will  use a new approach to writing this year and we have  a new Reading Anthology, StoryTown.  There will many opportunities for us to learn together.  I strongly believe in practicing being a LifeLong Learner. In Social Studies we will time travel from the Prehistoric Times and work our way to the present. 

Our Sixth graders have many privileges, and responsibilities. As sixth graders, our class will be an important role model for the younger students in our school. Your positive actions and attitudes will help keep our school a safe and inviting place for our whole school community. 

An important goal here at Canfield Avenue School is to provide you with many opportunities to work together to make this an unforgettable conclusion to your memories of your elementary school years. This will be my 25th year as a teacher here at Canfield Avenue School and if there is one thing that I have learned, it is that the students here at Canfield are terrific.
