You are a Fourth Grader!!!

Dear Fourth Grader,                         

 

I hope you have had a great summer.  I am enjoying my summer days and can’t wait to get back to school to meet the new 4th grade class! 

 

I have many fun things to look forward to this year and hope that you are all ready for lots of learning.  I have included a supply list on the back of this letter.  You should be getting a letter letting you know which homeroom you are in.  You will meet outside the building, on the playground side.  Find your my name and line up with your classmates.  You should be there by about 8:20 AM as the bell to start school rings at 8:30 AM. 

 

You will have all two 4th grade teachers. I will teach you reading, math, and language arts.  I will also teach all fourth graders science, Mrs. Wohn teaches social studies.  In addition, you will have all of the same specials as you did other years. 

 

Since you eat lunch 6th period, you may bring a small snack for the morning.  Try to think healthy when packing your snack.  We often work and have our snack at the same time so it should be something quick and neat to eat.  Pack your lunch for the first day if you’re not sure you will want to buy from the cafeteria.

 

We do like you to have a book with you at all times.  You may choose a book from home, the school library, or our classroom libraries, but you must have a book.

 

We hope you’ve been reading lots.  Keep track of any books you’ve read so you can share with us.  Enjoy the rest of your summer.  I will see you September 2nd!

 

 

      

 

 

Keep practicing those multiplication facts at home.  Also...read, read and read.
