As I am sure you have heard, Our day is very busy!

Our specials time is quite early (8:45) and we have lunch at 10:30.  So our mornings
go very fast. 

In phonics, we are seeing that long vowels can have a variety of spellings.

In Writer's Workshop, we have been reading literature to give us ideas in our writing.
Since we are all authors, the children are producing some fine pieces. The students
are beginning working on their personal narratives and patterns. 

After Calendar Activities, the children are using different strategies to help with
simple addition and subtraction facts.  We are reviewing money, place value, and
different ways to graph data in math.

In Science, we will be studying light and sound.

Don't forget to address your valentines and decorate a box.
We will exchange cards on Thursday, Feb. 11.

Jump Rope for Heart is Friday, Feb. 12 during our specials time.

There is no school on Monday, Feb. 15.
