Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

Welcome to the beginning of a new school year! My name is Sandra Wright, and I am the Remedial Math Teacher. I am a U.S. Veteran, and I have worked in the Liberty County School System for over 30 years.

As an educator, I have worked as a teacher in elementary grades 2nd-5th, as an ELA teacher in 7th grade, and as a Remedial Math teacher middle grades 6th-8th (2012-2017). Prior to returning to the classroom, I worked as an Intervention Specialist (2018-2021) where I assisted math and reading teachers with students who needed additional support in these content areas. Through my experiences, I have gained much knowledge and expertise to support, supplement, and improve student learning and achievement.

As the Remedial Math teacher, my goals are to help students acquire the necessary skills to become proficient in their math skills and to improve student learning and achievement. I plan to also support our school's goal where students attain the knowledge that will allow them so to meet or exceed the standards on the GMAS and send them to the next level ready for a challenge.

If you have specific needs or questions regarding your child’s progress, I encourage you to contact me at [email protected] or (912)- 877-5161. I will be happy to offer helpful suggestions and/or resources and will do everything that I can to help your child be a successful and productive student.

I am looking forward to a great year and to improving student achievement!
