Computer Lab Expectations

 

Student Expectations

: Students will sit at their assigned workstation and sign in with their own writing materials. (notebook on CPU to their left)
: Students must have documentation of a signed Internet/Computer Usage form to access the computer.
: Students will record their username and password in their agenda or some other safe place.
: Students will leave bookbags and other personal items in their class. (Pen/pencil, agenda, and calculators are only allowed)
: Students will remain on task and work quietly at workstations showing respect to others and equipment.
: Students will leave the lab with chairs pushed in, trash in trash can, keyboard, mouse, and headphones in correct position.
: Students are allowed to access the Internet with permission.
: Students will leave desktop unchanged – icons, wallpaper, mouse, screensaver, etc.
: Students may use headphones when they have been given permission.
: Students will close all programs properly before exiting.

 

Teacher Expectations

: Teachers will instruct students on expectations and procedures while in the lab and will properly monitor their class the entire session. (No grading papers, no working on oncourse, no playing on the computer, etc.)
: Teachers will submit a completed seating chart to the computer lab teacher.
: Teachers will plan accordingly for students who do not have access to the Internet.
: Teachers will quietly escort their students as a class to and from the lab at their designated time.
: Teachers will immediately report any roster changes to the computer lab teacher.                                            

 

 Lab Teacher Expectations

: The Lab Teacher will instruct students on expectations and procedures following BARK guidelines.
: The Lab Teacher will prepare reports of student use to the administrator as requested.
: The Lab Teacher will collaborate with the classroom teacher to provide for the needs of all students.
: The Lab Teacher will collaborate with the Master Teacher to create and implement an efficient schedule for both labs.
: The Lab Teacher will maintain the equipment housed in the Lab. All issues will be discussed with the network manager.
