Hi, I am Mrs. Danielle C. Lagarde.
I graduated from Nicholls State University with a degree in Sociology, and a concentration in Child and Family Advocacy. I started at Terrebonne High School teaching Option 3. I taught Special Education for the three years. I am Certified and Highly Qualified in Middle School Reading, English, and K-12 Special Education. I look forward to us both to working with your child this school year.
Grading Procedure:
Students will be graded on the 5-point scale: A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0. Progress reports will be sent home in the middle of each grading period. Work is graded as follows:
-Daily Oral Vocabulary---these test will be given weekly (2 words a day)
-Test from the various Reading Assignments
-Quote for the day
-Group Assignments
-Sight Unseen test will be given weekly
-Writing assignments will also be given
-Tests---grades are doubled to equal two grades
-Agendas---checked for completion. Graded for completion(A or F)
-Homework---averaged to equal one grade per grading period
-Participation will be given weekly
-Conduct---one grade per grading period
Absences: When a student is absent, an excuse must be sent in order to make up missed work. The student is responsible for making up any missed tests, journal entries, or assignments. If a test is missed and an excuse is not provided, the student will be allow to make it up. I allow student with unexcused abensences 3 days to make up test or assignments; 4 days if the student have an excused absence.
OPTIONAL ASSIGNMENTS: CURRENT EVENTS- FOUR CURRENT EVENTS COMPLETED CORRECTLY AND APPROVED CAN REPLACE AN "F" OBTAINED ON ANY TEST.
