WELCOME to a new school year at Houma Junior High! My name is Mrs. Wallis and I will be your child's teacher this year.  I have been teaching for eleven years; however this is my seventh year at Houma Junior High. I look forward to working with you and your child this school year.  I am anticipating a challenging and wonderful year.  Health students will engage in frequent, meaningful health activities and the application of health in every day life.  With everyone's help we can make this year a successful and fun one for everyone.

Our school has a positive behavior program called BARK.  I have informed the students concerning what is expected of them in class, such as proper behavaior, completing assignments, home learning activities and bringing materials to class. All of these expectations will be monitored and you will be notified if the need arises.  As an active participant in your child's education you will be notified of grades and progress that your child makes.
