Welcome to this school session at Houma Junior High School. I am anticipating a wonderfully challenging session, and I am pleased that you will be a part of it. Successful students in English will be able to read, interpret, respond to, and evaluate given materials by engaging in frequent, meaningful writing and oral activities using Louisiana Standards for 7th Grade. Skills learned in this course should help students develop the essential elements necessary for communication about issues they encounter in academic subjects as well as in everyday life.
