HAPPENINGS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION & HEALTH  

     I can't believe it's September and another year has started.

     The Kershaw students will start the year by participating in Teams Building Activities. These activities will help encourage cooperation while that will require the students to use previously learned skills to successfully complete the activity.

     The students are now participating in our Flag Football unit. All grade levels at RWK will be involved with this activity. Students will be actively participating in a variety of flag-pulling games and activities during this unit.

     In Health class, the Kershaw students will be involved in discussions dealing with tobacco, alcohol and other harmful drugs. Students will be given the knowledge and resources to make sound decisions if, or when, they are exposed to any of these harmful substances.

     All students are encouraged to participate to the best of his or her ability. The students will be graded every day they have our classes. Parents are stongly encouraged to keep up to date with their child's progress by using the Parent Portal.
