Welcome to the Flat Rock Elementary School Library!

I am Connie Gray, Librarian at Flat Rock Elementary School. I am in my 26th year as a teacher in Anderson School Distict Three. I taught self-contained special education, first grade, and gifted and talented classes before coming to the library in the year 2000. I am a graduate of Anderson University and Erskine College, where I earned my degree in Elementary and Special Education, and the University of South Carolina where I earned my  Master's Degree in Library and Information Science. I have thirty plus hours above my master's degree in technology and business.

When I'm not in the Library, I can usually be found spending time with my family. We share great times together on our farm just enjoying each other's company or in worship at our church. I also strive to set aside time for reading and working toward mastering the art of my latest passion - quilting. I enjoy traveling and have zipped around much of the US, and have traveled to Puerto Rico, Canada, France, Australia, North Africa and Great Britian. The image below was taken in the library in Alexandria, Egypt. While I love seeing new places, there truly is "no place like home" and I am proud to call South Carolina my home!
