Mrs. Chanda Thomassen's
8th Grade English Language Arts
Hello and welcome to my website. I am your 8th Grade English Language Arts teacher.
Just to let you know a little bit about me ... I have a wonderful husband, Jason Thomassen, whom I have been married to for three years. We have an adorable little boy named Jordy Jason. He was born on my birthday, April 15th, and he weighed 7 lbs 6 ozs (the same as I weighed when I was born). It definitely wasn't planned that way. That's just the way God planned it.
I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Arts and Sciences with a major in English. I received my Certificate in Education from Louisiana Resource Center for Educators in 2007. This is my 7th year to teach. I have taught English and Reading to 6th, 7th and 8th graders. I have also taught Math for one year.
