Teacher's Education

1995 honor graduate of Breaux Bridge High School.
1999 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a B.A. in English.
60 hours of training in Advanced Placement English from Rice University in Houston, Texas in 2005 and 2006.
30 hours of gifted and talented training from Fort Bend School District in Sugarland, Texas in 2005.

Received certification as school librarian from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2011.

30 hours of training in Advanced Placement English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2011.
