Welcome to Third Grade!

This will be an exciting year, full of challenges and meaningful learning opportunities! I am very eager to get started! I cannot wait to get to know each of you, but in the meantime here is a little bit about me!

My name is Mrs. Amy Bradley, and I have been teaching at Nannie Berry since 2004. I grew up here in Hendersonville with my brothers Mark and Eric. I moved to Knoxville for five years to attend the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) where I earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I moved back to the Hendersonville area after graduating and I love being “home.” My husband, Oliver, and I have a one year old named Thomas. We live in Gallatin with our two dogs, Haylee and KoKo. I cannot wait to learn a little bit about you too!

Parents,

Third grade is a transitional year, and I am here to help each student through the process of taking on more responsibility and learning to be accountable for his/her own learning. This year will present students with many challenges. Not only will each child learn difficult concepts, but he or she will also be asked to take on a great deal of responsibility. The life skills that we focus on in third grade will set the stage for success in the years to come. I believe that communication is the key to that success, so please do not hesitate to contact me at any time throughout the year. I check email throughout the day, so that is the best way to contact me (amy.bradley@sumnerschools.org). Also, feel free to send a note with your child, or call the school and leave me a voice mail (822-3123 ext. 105). I will return your call as soon as I am able. Thank you in advance for your support!
