Fonda Swank, M.ED.
Greetings! My name is Fonda Swank and I'm the Music Specialist at Nannie Berry. This is my 11th year at Nannie Berry. Prior to Nannie Berry I taught music at Ellis Middle School, taught Choir at an Illinois middle school, and music K-12 in Missouri. In addition to teaching at Nannie Berry I have a private piano and voice studio. My credentials are: Bachelors of Music Education from Central Missouri State University, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Tennessee State University, an Elementary Education certificate from Trevecca and an ELL certificate from Tennessee State University. I've been married to Bob for almost 34 years. I have three grown children and four grandchildren.
How does the musical arts serve humanity? They promote social skills that enhance awareness of others and tolerance for their differences. They promote unity and harmony. They enhance perceptual and cognitive skills. They also serve as vehicles for cultural identity and free expression.
