Checking For Homework Assignments:  To see if there is a homework assignment, just click on the link to "Homework & Events" on the left.  If I have assigned homework, you will see the homework symbol on the calendar day on which it was assigned.  All homework assignments should be completed before the beginning of class on the next school day.  If you click on the symbol, you will see the homework assignments.  You may also view the actual assignment by clicking on the paper clip symbol.  These are in .pdf format which requires the Adobe Acrobat program or another type of .pdf viewer.  These programs are free and if your computer does not have such a program (most computers already do) they can easily be downloaded for free. The posted assignments may be downloaded and/or printed if you choose.  Homework information becomes available after 2 P.M. the day it is assigned.

Checking Your Grade:  You are also able to view grades on individual assignments and tests using the internet!  I provide access to this website as a courtesy to my students and their parents.  Students have been given an ID Number and Password to ensure the privacy of this information.  While the scores on individual assignments are generally accurate, they will be changed if a mistake is found.  Some portions of the grade, such as the Notebook and Class Discussion categories, are not tallied until the end of the 9 Weeks grading period.  Because of this, the overall grade listed in the Student Summary section of the website reflects only the assignments which have been collected and graded up to that point in time.  It should be considered only a ROUGH ESTIMATE until grades have been officially reported to the district office.  Also, I reserve the right to adjust the weighting of the various grade categories up until the time that teacher’s grades are due.  Doing so may alter a student’s overall grade even though the grades of their various assignments remain the same.
